Expository writing

Definition- A educational term for any form of writing that conveys information and explains ideas

Purpose- It is to explain or inform the reader with relevant evidence and appropriate discussions.

Examples- Recipes, newspaper articles, reports and textbooks.

How are expository texts different from narrative texts and personal recounts?
Expository texts inform or explain something to readers. Narrative texts describes a sequence of events in third-person. Personal recount describes a sequence of events in first-person.
