Expository Writing by Kiang Jia Ming Kenneth(17) and Ng Wei Jie(22)

1) Exposition is a description(instead of dialogue) of the story, introduces all the important background information of the topic used and is able to let a person who does not know anything about the topic to understand.
It is used to explain, inform, or even describe. It is also used to persuade and make someone believe something by presenting one side of the argument(in an argument).
An example is the image below(may be hard to read)

2) Exposition writing gives more important description and shows the characters thoughts (which leads to contractions and present tense). Personal recount holds a neutral position while exposition writing takes a stand immediately and focuses on one side(good or bad) of the topic.
