The technique used in this advertisement is the bandwagon and the faulty cause and effect technique.

The examples that explain this technique are, for the bandwagon technique, it shows many people using the Visa-Paywave card to pay for their merchandise. It shows how convenient it is and how it will save time. This also shows that everyone is into using Visa-Paywave and it exploits the desire of people to have it or in other words, the cool factor. It is even in the slogan: More people use Visa-Paywave.

The example for the technique 'Faulty cause and effect' is that people can save time instead of wasting precious time by taking out your money out of your pocket. The technique is not that direct in this case.

The bandwagon technique is the main one used in this advertisement.
